Owner Responsibilities

Preparing Your Pet for Grooming

   - Ensure your pet is adequately exercised and has had a chance to relieve themselves before the grooming appointment.

   - Brush your pet’s coat to remove any major tangles or debris that might complicate the grooming process.

   - Make sure your pet is accessible and ready for pickup at the scheduled appointment time.

 

Informing the Groomer of Special Needs, Health Concerns or Behavioral Issues

   - Inform the groomer of any special needs your pet may have, such as medical conditions, allergies, or recent surgeries.

   - Disclose any known behavioral issues, such as aggression, anxiety, or fear of specific grooming procedures, to ensure appropriate handling and care.

 

Groomer Responsibilities

 

Humane and Safe Handling of Pets

   - Our groomers are committed to the humane and gentle handling of all pets. We use positive reinforcement techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming experience.

   - Pets showing signs of distress or aggression will be handled with extra care, and owners will be promptly informed of any issues.

   -Extreme distress may result in an early conclusion of services.

 

Standards for Cleanliness and Hygiene in the Grooming Environment

   - Le Puppery maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our mobile grooming units. All equipment and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between appointments.

   - Groomers will wear clean uniforms and wash their hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a sterile environment.

 

Procedures in Case of Pet Injury or Illness During Grooming

   - In the rare event of a pet injury or illness during grooming, the groomer will immediately stop the grooming process and assess the situation.

   - The owner will be contacted right away to inform them of the incident and discuss the next steps.

   - If necessary, we will seek veterinary care for the pet. The owner will be responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred.

   - An incident report will be completed, and a copy will be provided to the pet owner.
